Oct 28, 2025Byiqingdao

Qingdao News (Reporter: Liu Wenchao), October 28 — Autumn in Qingdao ushers in the most poetic sailing season of the year. From October 25th to 26th, the 2025 "Sailing into Four" program of Shinan District was held with great enthusiasm at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. As a long-standing brand event in Shinan District, it attracted nearly 200 sailing enthusiasts from government agencies, enterprises, communities, and schools. Through immersive experiences and professional training, they further deepened the popularization and promotion of sailing throughout the district.

Having been successfully held for multiple years, the "Sailing into Four" program remained as popular as ever this year. Under the full guidance of professional instructors, participants learned sailing principles, helming techniques, and marine safety knowledge. From hoisting the sail and hiking out to adjusting the course, they grasped the wisdom of navigation through hands-on practice, personally steering the helm to cleave through the waves and experiencing the heroic ambition of "riding the winds and breaking the waves."

From an Olympic venue to the citizens' doorstep, from professional competition to public enjoyment, the "Sailing into Four" program in Shinan District uses the sailing experience as a bridge to bring the sport from the professional sphere into public life. It provides a new way for citizens to get closer to the ocean, allowing more people to understand, love, and participate in sailing, thus continuously contributing to the branding of Qingdao as the "Sailing Capital."
