At the beginning of the Year of the Snake, a group of young musicians, carrying their instruments and full of energy, traveled across the world to London, UK. They moved between the Yehudi Menuhin School, the University of Oxford, and the Royal Academy of Music, immersing themselves in learning, performances, and cultural exchanges. Their presence drew significant attention in this foreign land. Leading the delegation was internationally renowned violinist and Qingdao native Lv Siqing, who is also the founding principal of the Yehudi Menuhin School in Qingdao.
During their week-long immersive study in London, the young musicians from Qingdao participated in an intensive schedule of performances and activities. Together with Principal Lv Siqing, they were invited to perform at the 2025 "UK-China Charity Initiative" Chinese New Year Concert, delivering a remarkable performance.
This transcontinental exchange not only showcased the outstanding achievements of Qingdao as a "City of Music" in nurturing young musical talents but also served as a powerful note in the symphony of China-UK friendship and cultural exchange.
