Located in the southeast of Qingdao, with an area of 395.79 square kilometers, it has one national 5A and three 4A scenic spots. The district focuses its efforts on a leading area for Qingdao's high-end industries, "four main leading pillars"and"6+1 emerging industry system. It is vigorously advancing the development of Qingdao Central Innovation Zone, Jinjialing Financial District, Laoshan Tourist Resort and Laoshan Bay International Ecological Health-Preserving City, carrying out six major campaigns, namely, to optimize political ecology, build a demonstration zone for replacing old growth drivers with new ones, enhance urban cultural strength, improve social governance, environmental governance of illegal activities and urban construction administration.
