Overseas Chinese link up for a Better Qingdao--the Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and high-level Talents Investment and Entrepreneurship Project Fair at Licang Station, sponsored by Qingdao Overseas Chinese Association and hosted by Licang District Overseas Chinese Association, was successfully held in Qingdao Hualan Hotel on October 28.
In order to give full play to the advantages of overseas Chinese resources and build a platform for cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Licang and overseas Chinese delegations, Licang District also hired 18 overseas Chinese leaders and overseas Chinese businessmen as overseas Investment Consultants and issued letters of appointment.
The signing ceremony of investment projects was also held at the opening ceremony. After the early docking negotiations, 15 projects were signed with overseas Chinese businessmen from 10 countries, including the United States, Germany and Singapore, with a total investment of 2.08 billion yuan.
During the event, the relevant person in charge of the investment promotion department of Qingdao and Licang District promoted the talent and investment promotion policies and key industrial areas of Qingdao and Licang District respectively, with the parts of policy consultation and project docking negotiation.
According to the arrangement of the event, the participants visited Qingdao Union Building and Zhongbo International Center, building understanding of the business environment, industrial base, project resources and development planning of Licang District in an all-round and multi-angle manner. The participants said that they deeply felt that Qingdao is trying to provide accurate industrial policies and a good business environment for the majority of overseas Chinese businessmen and high-level talents to invest and start businesses in Qingdao through this event. At the same time, the opportunities brought by Qingdao's high-quality economic and social development have strengthened the confidence of overseas Chinese businessmen to invest in Qingdao and strengthened the determination to help Qingdao build a modern socialist international metropolis in the new era.
