To commemorate the achievements and glorious trajectory of Qingdao’s symphony orchestra development over the past three decades, and to further promote the growth of Qingdao’s symphonic music, polish Qingdao's reputation as the “Island of Music,” foster the art construction of Qingdao, the exhibition “The Symphony of the City: Celebrating 30 Years of Qingdao's Symphony Orchestra Development” was inaugurated on the morning of June 11th at the Qingdao Municipal Government Conference Center.
The creation and construction of a city’s symphony orchestra is an important measure of the development of the city’s music culture and a pivotal symbol of its cultural soft power. This exhibition is one of the events commemorating the 30-year journey of Qingdao's symphony orchestra development. It serves as a vital platform to showcase the accomplishments of this artistic endeavor. With "The Symphony of the City" as the theme, it vividly illustrates the evolution and achievements of Qingdao's symphonic music scene through an extensive collection of historical documents, photographs, audio and video recordings, and precious artifacts.
The exhibition is on display at the Qingdao Municipal Government Conference Center until June 14th, open to the public free of charge, and then moved to the Qingdao Municipal Hall of the People for further display.
