By selecting time slots when citizens and tourists converge, the event immerses symphonic music into trendy “internet-famous spots,” creating an all-encompassing atmosphere where symphonic melodies resonate throughout the city, allowing a greater number of residents and visitors to encounter the enchantment of symphony music and ‘Island of Music.’ The season also showcases the talent development of various civilian symphony orchestras over the past three decades, highlighting the thriving proliferation of symphonic music across Qingdao City and its successful infiltration into the hearts of the citizens.
The “Citywide Symphony Season” has hosted over 20 flash mob events. The Qingdao Concert Hall Symphony Orchestra, the Qingdao Comrades Symphony Chorus, and other symphony orchestras have staged over 20 captivating symphony flash mob performances at locations including Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, MixC Qingdao, and May Fourth Square, receiving warm welcomes from locals and tourists alike.
