On March 23rd, the 11 race yachts of the Clipper 2023-24 Round the World Yacht Race have assembled in Qingdao, the "Sailing City" of China, and the Qingdao Stopover Awarding Ceremony was held at the Qingdao International Conference Center.
Qingdao is the longest-standing race partner of the Clipper Race. As the first race city in Asia, since 2005, Qingdao has witnessed the extraordinary growth of the Sailing City.
Qingdao is an important center city along the coast of China, an international port city, and a national historical and cultural city. In recent years, Qingdao has given full play to its marine advantages, injecting strong momentum into the construction of an international metropolis. In the future, Qingdao will continue to maintain close cooperation and exchanges with the Clipper UK Organizing Committee and work together to make this event an important platform for showcasing the image of the city as the Sailing City and promoting the development of sports.
