Teachers’ Day is a holiday specially established for teachers aimed at promoting the tradition of respecting teachers, valuing education for the whole society, and affirming the contributions made by teachers to the education cause. Teachers’ Day in China is scheduled for September 10th every year.
Because Teachers’ Day is not a traditional Chinese holiday, there are different celebration activities held every year in various regions, and there is no unified or fixed form. On Teacher's Day, many students send their teachers a card or flowers to show their appreciation and respect for their teachers. Some hold a Teachers' Day commendation ceremony on the school side to award teachers with prizes and certificates. In contrast, others organize school students to present singing and dancing performances for teachers.
