In June this year, the 7th CIIE investment promotion roadshow was held in Qingdao, with over 140 companies in the food, agricultural products, and technical equipment procurement fields participating. Qingdao enterprises engaged in on-site negotiations with 20 exhibitors such as Pickering, Brother, Hexagon, and Mitsubishi Electric, initiating opportunities for buyers to match with the right sellers.
Based on current procurement transactions, this year's CIIE has seen 143 Qingdao buyers reaching preliminary cooperation intentions with 216 exhibitors, and the transaction volume may exceed previous years.
The China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, also known as SCODA, which is located in Qingdao, set up an exhibition area featuring SCO elements, which has attracted visitors with over 200 varieties of distinctive SCO member country products, such as Iranian dates, Mongolian chocolates, and Afghan nuts.
Jan Aminzai, a representative of Afghan products, expressed, "Participating for three consecutive years is a rare opportunity for any company. Our Afghan products are becoming increasingly well-known in the Chinese market, with expanding sales channels and establishing cooperative relationships with more domestic distributors, all thanks to the empowerment provided by SCODA."
