The 2024 Qingdao-South Korea Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Seoul, South Korea on June 21, attracting nearly 200 representatives from well-known South Korean companies and institutions such as GS Group, SK Group, and CJ Group.
The conference aimed to share investment opportunities in Qingdao, bring Qingdao and South Korea closer together, promote investment and trade, and deepen cooperation and exchanges.
Wang Zhilin, minister counsellor of the economic and commercial office of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, said in his speech that Qingdao, as the economic leader of Shandong province, has a solid industrial foundation and broad prospects for cooperation with South Korea. He expressed his hope that people from South Korea will gain a better understanding of Qingdao, share in the limitless business opportunities arising from Qingdao's high-quality development, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Jin Delong, chairman of the World Federation of South Korean Entrepreneurs, stated that Qingdao, as a major port city in China, has close ties with South Korea and has made significant contributions to the economic and trade exchanges between the two countries. He expressed his hope that through this exchange meeting, Sino-South Korean cooperation would reach new heights.
At the conference, Zhang Hui, deputy Party chief of Qingdao, delivered a keynote speech, comprehensively introducing Qingdao's development advantages and sharing cooperation opportunities in areas such as smart home appliances and electronic information, automobile manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and health, food and beverages, international trade, cultural tourism, and more.
