On February 17, at China + Central Asia (C+C5) Industry and Investment Cooperation Forum - International Agricultural Cooperation Sub-Forum held in Qingdao, the SCO Agricultural Industry Development Alliance was officially launched. It will integrate domestic and foreign agricultural industry resources, strengthen the supporting cooperation between China and the five Central Asia countries in the agricultural industry chain, and build a basic framework for international agricultural cooperation.
It is understood that with the goal of building an agricultural industry cooperation center based in China, radiating to Central Asia countries, and facing SCO countries and countries along the the Belt and Road, under the guidance and support of Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Administrative Committee of the SCODA and other departments, the SCO Agricultural Industry Development Alliance was initiated by more than 30 first batch of Chinese and foreign chambers of commerce and associations to expand the market space between China and the five Central Asia countries, it will strengthen cooperation in agricultural bases, new agricultural technologies, new varieties and new forms of business, to build a public service alliance for industrial development that is market-dominant, enterprise-oriented, and internationally competitive and influential.
It is reported that the forum takes "green, safe and sustainable: international agricultural cooperation scenarios and models in the post-epidemic era" as the theme, aiming to further promote the upgrading of the international agricultural industrial and supply chain and expand the new scenarios of international agricultural cooperation. The participants delivered a keynote speech around the theme of promoting agricultural industry cooperation between China and the five Central Asia countries from the perspective of industrial and supply chain. In the dialogue, the participants focused on the topic of high-quality development of the entire agricultural industry chain, jointly discussed the agricultural cooperation path between China and the five Central Asia countries, to enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural industry.
