On the morning of February 15, the signing of the agreement and the inauguration ceremony of Ocean Decade International Cooperation Center” were held in Qingdao West Coast New Area.
It is reported that the center is an innovative platform to promote China’s bilateral and multilateral cooperation and participation in global ocean governance under the UN Decade of Marine Science for Sustainable Development initiative, and is the only one of its kind in China, which will help enhance China’s leadership and voice in global ocean governance and the construction of Qingdao as a leading modern ocean city.
