Children’s Day, also known as “61 International Children’s Day”, is held on June 1 every year and is a festival for children and adolescents all over the world.
In November 1949, the International Federation of Democratic Women held a council meeting in Moscow. Chinese and international representatives angrily exposed the crimes of killing and poisoning children by imperialists and reactionaries. In order to guarantee children's right to life, health care and education, and to improve their lives, the Conference decided to celebrate International Children's Day on June 1 every year.
In China, Children's Day is celebrated on June 1st. It is a time to enjoy, make fun and merry as the Chinese consider children to be the future of the country. On this day, the Chinese pledge to contribute towards providing children with a good family, social and educational environment. Children's Day is an official holiday in China.
We hope children all over the world can grow up healthy, safe and happy.
