5.1 International Workers' Day—— Labor is the Most Glorious

International Workers' Day, also known as Labor Day, is celebrated on May 1st. It originated in the 1880s to commemorate the Haymarket affair in Chicago and to fight for workers' rights. Since then, Labor Day has become an important holiday to recognize workers' contributions and advocate labor rights worldwide.

Over the years, May Day spread widely around the world. It is now officially recognized as an international workers' holiday in 80 countries to promote fair working conditions and workers' wellbeing.

Various activities are held on Labor Day, such as speeches, rallies, and marches. People also organize picnics, barbecues, and more lighthearted community events.

The ultimate goal of International Workers' Day is to promote equity, justice and dignity for all working people across the world.
