The traditional Chinese solar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Beginning of Spring, the first solar term of the year, begins this year on Feb 4 and ends on Feb 18.
Beginning of Spring lifts the curtain of spring. It is more than just a solar term, it also brings people a sense of hope and a new start after enduring a long winter.
The days become longer, birds begin to return and flowers start to blossom. In the following 15 days, the weather is expected to get warmer and warmer.
As the old Chinese saying goes: “Make your whole year's plan in the spring and the whole day's plan in the morning.” That's how much people cherish this season.
