The Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART) 2023 will be held from March 13 to 16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As the largest event for the film and television industry in Asia, it has become a world-class platform for copyright trading, exchange of skills and project promotion. This is the 8th year since 2015 for Shandong-based film and television enterprises to participate in the event.
This year, 12 film and television enterprises as well as a batch of excellent programs were organized by Shandong Film Bureau and the Radio and Television Administration of Shandong Province to participate in the exhibition.

Organized annually by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, this year marks the 27th Hong Kong International Film and TV Market.
Shandong boasts the brand of Luju represented by Guandong Adventure, Romance of Our Parents and Nirvana in Fire. Qingdao is known as the first “capital of film” in China and Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis has injected new vitality into film industrialization in China and the film and television industry of Shandong province. During FILMART, Shandong fully displays the image of its film and television enterprises, promotes its excellent film and television works, and strengthens the communication and cooperation with industry enterprises and personnel from all over the world.
Shandong Pavilion, covering an area of 72 square meters, showcases the province’s high-level production hardware and software facilities, integrated service system and excellent industrial production level of film bases represented by Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis with the theme of “world film capital, leading the film industry and making Chinese blockbusters”.
Oriental Movie Metropolis debuts “the Pearl of the East”
A promotional event of Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis was held in Shandong Pavilion on March 14. In recent years, Shandong has built Qingdao Lingshan Bay Film and Television Industrial Park, improved the film and television industry chain, and cultivated industrial clusters.
Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis has 40 international top standard film studios and 32 multifunctional setting workshops. "The Wandering Earth" series of sci-fi blockbusters was shot in its ten thousand square meters single studio. A number of visual blockbusters have been filmed in its indoor-outdoor underwater production center, the largest in Asia.
In recent years, Lingshan Bay Film and Television Industrial Park has attracted many leading enterprises such as Emperor Entertainment, Huayi Brothers, Cinemorph, and Baoi Movie Dress. It has built China’s first 5G high-tech video experimental park and more than 120 industrial chain enterprises including Huawei and Boe Technology have signed a contract to settle here.
In addition to attending the opening ceremony and holding the promotional event of Qingdao Oriental Film Metropolis, the Shandong delegation will visit famous Hong Kong film and television agencies and promote the cooperation between Shandong-based enterprises and their counterparts.
