This year's Teacher's Day coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival. As the two festivals were approaching, Qingdao Chaoyin Primary School invited 7 foreign teachers from the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries to experience a different kind of traditional Chinese festival.
For the Teacher’s day, foreign teachers had a taste of traditional Chinese tea made by their students and signed names solemnly on the signature board of the teachers' vow.
The Mid-Autumn Festival experience was even more unique, foreign teachers and students dressed in Chinese costumes carried lanterns, tasted moon cakes and guessed lantern riddles, etc. Some foreign teachers also put on traditional Chinese costumes, chi-pao, to celebrate the festival with the children.
