This week is International Education Week, which is held every year in the United States.
All colleges and universities in the U.S. hold various events on international education during this week, from forums to lectures to demonstrations, making this week one of the most important times of the year for U.S. colleges and universities to focus on international education.
The International Training Department of California State University, Long Beach also opened an information booth dedicated to Qingdao, a sister city of Long Beach, with a variety of information materials on the city’s image, as well as a variety of books from the Nisan Bookstore in both English and Chinese.
The information booth attracted many students, some of whom had studied in China before and felt a special affinity for Qingdao, and they looked forward to returning to China for a study visit soon.
Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles also set up a study in China information booth next to the Qingdao booth to introduce scholarships and study abroad resources to students interested in studying in China.
Students who had not been to China before were very interested in Qingdao’s information booth, and the question they asked most often was, where is Qingdao located? What’s so special about it? They said that if they come to China, they must come to visit the beautiful Qingdao.
