As a scholar, philosopher and political sage, Confucius is synonymous with Chinese morality and culture. People gathered at his birthplace of Qufu, Shandong Province on September 28 to pay tribute to the great thinker with a grand memorial ceremony. People from around the world took part in the commemoration ceremony online, complete with musical performances and dancing using ancient instruments and other rites.
