Nishan Forum on World Civilization|The Temple of Confucius

The Temple of Confucius, the great philosopher, politician and educator of the 6th–5th centuries B.C., is located at Qufu, east China's Shandong Province. Built to commemorate and offer sacrifices to Confucius in 478 B.C., the temple has been destroyed and reconstructed over the centuries. Today it is comprised of more than 100 buildings.
