Known as China’s first professional cross-border expo across the Yellow River Basin, the Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo 2022 was held in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao from August 26 to August 28. In the expo, the Blue Paper on the Cross-border E-commerce Development in Nine Provinces or Regions Across the Yellow River Basin was released, and the Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Alliance and the Yellow River Basin Supply Chain Alliance were established.
The expo, which comprised 28 events of three categories, including exhibitions, forums and themed activities endeavored to build itself into a cross-border e-commerce exchange and service platform integrating image demonstrations, product presentations, trade fairs, industrial forums and themed activities. Boasting an over 20,000 square meters exhibition area, the expo attracted the participation of 40 featured industrial belts across the Yellow River Basin and a total of over 400 world-renowned cross-border e-commerce platforms and service providers, as well as more than 10,000 kinds of exhibits. 68 delegations such as the Guangdong East Chamber of Commerce of Importers & Exporters, the Asia-Europe Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Association and the China Cooperative Trade Enterprises Association, visited the expo and conducted negotiations. According to incomplete statistics, The expo attracted 45,000 online and offline viewers and the participation of 8,986 professional buyers, concluded a transaction amount of over RMB37mln and signed cooperation intention agreements worth RMB283mln.
Qingdao has been initially built into a modern regional logistics hub and a muti-modal transport logistics hub under the Belt and Road Initiative underpinned by top three logistics systems, i.e. ocean ports, airports and land transportation; the consummate cross-border e-commerce industrial chain in Qingdao is expected to facilitate the digital transformation in the industrial belts across the Yellow River Basin.
