On August 29, 2022, the Third Qingdao-Long Beach Friendship City Online Pen Pal Program was successfully concluded with an online award ceremony held in China and the U.S. A total of nine students from both cities won the first, second and third prizes.
The third programme was held from May to August this year, where 28 university students from Qingdao University of Technology and California State University Long Beach were paired up for an online cross-cultural thematic exchange, forming friendships across the ocean.
Before the end of the program, the students also submitted short videos and other showcases to be judged, and Shandong Port Group Qingdao Port provided scholarships for the winning students.
