On the afternoon of May 23, Qingdao Municipal Foreign Affairs Office held a video conference with the Umbria region of Italy. Both two sides had in-depth exchanges on deepening friendly relations and promoting cooperation in government, economy, trade and people-to-people exchanges.
Both Qingdao and Umbria are famous historical and cultural cities and have a solid manufacturing base. There are many similarities and complementarities between the two cities. In recent years, we have conducted interactions and exchanges in various fields, and the cooperation has achieved fruitful results.
In the future, the two sides will jointly deepen the exchanges between sister cities, fully tap the cooperation potential of the two sides in the fields of economy, trade, education and humanities, and actively carry out all-round and multi-field mutually beneficial cooperation.
Umbria is known as “the green heart of Italy”, with high forest coverage, developed manufacturing industry, and advantageous industries such as automobile manufacturing, textiles, furniture, ceramics, hardware products, and many small and medium-sized enterprises, which have potential for cooperation with Qingdao.
