As the International Museum Day is approaching, on the afternoon of May 17, the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition of Photography of Luis Fabini: Gauchos&Framework Agreement Signing Ceremony Between Qingdao Municipal Museum and the Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art was held at the Qingdao Municipal Museum.
Since Qingdao and Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, established sister-city relationship in 2004, the two cities have carried out rich exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, education, and humanities. What’s more, two cities jointly established the first Confucius Institute and held “Qingdao’s Night” special city promotion event in Uruguay.
At the opening ceremony, Qingdao Municipal Museum and the Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art signed a framework agreement for friendly exchange of museums online.
This is the first friendly agreement signed by Qingdao Municipal Museum with Latin America, which lays the foundation for the future expansion of Qingdao Municipal Museum in the areas of art, cultural relics, exhibitions and other aspects of the countries along the “Belt and Road”.
