The year 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico, and February 14 is the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico.
To deepen the friendship between China and Mexico, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) launched a nationwide initiative to light up sister cities.
As the first pair of sister cities between China and Mexico, Qingdao and Acapulco actively participated in the lighting ceremony of city landmarks.

Acapulco is a famous seaside tourist city in Mexico. Qingdao and Acapulco have been sister cities since 1985 and have carried out extensive cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, tourism and culture.
In the next step, Qingdao will further deepen local exchanges and cooperation with Mexico in the fields of culture, education, economy and trade, tell the Qingdao chapter of China's stories and inherit the friendship between China and Mexico.
