Today, Qingdao Metro Line 4, which has attracted much attention from the public officially opens.
Qingdao Metro Line 4 starts from Hall of the People Station and ends at Dahedong Station, with a total length of about 31 kilometers and a total running time of about 54 minutes. It is understood that after the opening of Line 4, Qingdao Metro will operate 7 lines and 315 km of line network, ranking 10th in China.
After its opening, Line 4 will become a fast rail transit corridor and passenger transport “artery” running through the east and west of Qingdao, which is of great significance to improve the structure of rail transit network, play the effect of passenger flow network, better support and guide the expansion of urban space, and help Qingdao build a high-quality bay area city that is livable, workable and tourable.
It is expected that the average daily passenger volume of Metro Line 4 will be nearly 200,000 after its opening, and the maximum daily passenger volume of the whole network will be over 1.5 million during the peak tourist season.
Compared with other lines, Metro Line 4 runs through the old and new urban areas and carries more diversified and richer functions.
As a livelihood line integrating commuting, education, medical and tourism resources, Metro Line 4 will greatly improve the quality of urban functions and bring more sense of access, happiness and security to the public after its opening.
