At present, there are more than 800 foreign students in Shandong University of Science and Technology, and they come from more than 60 countries and regions.
Every year, the university holds activities such as “Chinese classic poetry recitation and singing competition”, “cultural school”, “traditional culture demonstration project”, and it has also launched a series of activities of “Experience China” and traditional Chinese festivals to let international students master at least one traditional Chinese cultural skill.
In the past five years, more than 300 foreign students from Shandong University of Science and Technology have returned home after their studies, and these students have become the spokespersons of Chinese culture.
Shandong University of Science and Technology has tried the special cultivation method of “classroom + base” for foreign students, which has realized the organic integration of the innovation of traditional culture classroom teaching mode and the construction of study base.
As cultural ambassadors, international students help to spread the excellent Chinese traditional culture to all over the world.
