As the main character of international exchange, the link of transnational cooperation and the frontier of global governance, city has played an increasingly prominent role in building China's image in recent years.
On April 13, Reference News released the first-ever "The Report on the Diplomatic Influence of Chinese Cities in 2022". The report selected 14 cities for the study to assess their diplomatic influence, among which Qingdao was rated as a city with strong influence on diplomacy due to the high level of several indicators.
According to the report points, Qingdao is rated as the third class on diplomatic influence of Chinese cities. In addition, Qingdao, as an economically developed city in the east, the link to Northeast Asia, has constituted a major regional pivot for the city's diplomatic activism.
