On March 24, “Qingdao Day·Shandong Week ”of China Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai opened simultaneously in Dubai and Qingdao. The event was held online and offline, and was shown by live steam in both Chinese and English.
The Expo 2020 Dubai is one of the expos having the largest number of participating countries, with 192 in total.
This was the debut of Qingdao at international stage after the current epidemic. In the China Pavilion of Dubai World Expo, Qingdao local enterprises such as CRRC, Haier Group and smart agriculture of sea-rice showed the innovative strength of Qingdao Brands to the world.
The China Pavilion also broadcasted a promotion video, showing the modern image of Qingdao with vigor, strength and charm to the world.
Over the years, Qingdao and the UAE have communicated and cooperated in many fields such as trade, transportation and agriculture. In 2021, the total volume of import and export reached 1.54 billion USD, increasing by 77.8% over last year.
