China's Doctors' Day, also known as Medical Workers' Day, falls on Aug. 19. Since 2018, China has celebrated National Doctors’ Day, which takes place on August 19.
It was made to show care to the country's health and medical workers and to acknowledge their outstanding work.
According to health authorities, activities will be held on this day to promote the noble spirit intrinsic to the medical profession, foster a sound social environment that respects medical workers, and accelerate implementation of the Healthy China initiative.
