International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. Nightingale was a British nurse during the Crimean War in the 1850s. She is popularly known as The Lady with the Lamp because she was often seen tending to wounded soldiers at night with a lamp in her hands.
In honor of International Nurses Day, we salute all the nurses around the world as well as other essential workers on the frontline in the fight against the pandemic who help protect all of us.
If love can’t cure it, nurses can! Thanks for all that you do.
