The list of China's Better Living Cities was announced, and Qingdao was listed as one of the "Top 10 Cities of Yearning", with the employment environment topping the list and the happiness of women ranking second.
Where are the people happiest in such a big China? On April 23rd, China Central Radio and Television (CCTV) held a ceremony in Chengdu to launch "China's Better Living Cities (2020-2021)". According to the results of this year's survey, Qingdao was listed on the list of "Top 10 Cities of Yearning · China's Better Living Cities". The survey shows that Qingdao tops the list in terms of employment environment and that the female of Qingdao generally have a higher sense of happiness, which ranked second in the list of cities with high female happiness.

The survey was launched by the Financial Program Center of China Central Radio and Television, together with the National Bureau of Statistics, China Post Group Corporation and the National School of Development,Peking University. Since 2006, the survey has resonated with the three Five-Year Plans and has been conducted annually for 15 consecutive years for 100,000 Chinese households in more than 150 cities and 300 counties, making it the world's largest survey on people's livelihood.

In the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the "China's Better Cities Survey" moved to a city outside of Beijing for the first time to hold the release ceremony series. Therefore, in addition to the continuation of some surveys such as "consumption and investment intentions," "leisure and work trends," and "livelihood difficulties and happiness," this year's survey will also optimize the Better Life Index. So that people's satisfaction with the management ability and social service level of their cities can be evaluated in more dimensions. At the same time, the survey also expanded the network channel this year, and a total of 430,000 valid samples collected online.
