Qingdao's Foreign Trade Led the Province's Economy
Shandong plays an important role in coastal opening just as Qingdao plays a vital role in Shandong's foreign trade.
In the first half of this year, Qingdao's import and export trade accounted for nearly 29.7% of the province, and 2.2% of the country.
The city's actual use of foreign investment in the first half of the year 3.77 billion U.S. dollars, ranking first in the province. Since 2021, Qingdao has been the first in the whole province in terms of the scale of actual foreign investment used for six consecutive months.
Qingdao's Foreign Trade Results Ranked the Country's Leading Level

Ningbo, Xiamen and Chengdu are the benchmark cities for Qingdao's foreign trade at this stage. It took only one year for Qingdao to catch up.
In the first half of 2021, Qingdao's total import and export volume overtook Chengdu, approached Xiamen and caught up with Ningbo. This achievement is not easy to come by.
