On July 21, the 2021 China Qingdao Overseas Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, jointly sponsored by the Organization Department of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, started in Qingdao International Special Innovation Zone.
This year's competition focuses on the precise layout of the 13 industrial chains of the city's new and old dynamic energy conversion, and extensively collects high precision and shortage talent projects for the world's leading universities.
So far, a total of 121 projects have been received from 24 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Australia, etc. The projects are provided by 165 high-level talents from various fields around the world, with a minimum education of master's degree, of which PhD (including post-doctoral) accounts for more than 70%, and there are many top 100 global institutions such as Harvard University, MIT, Cambridge University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Toronto.
The final of 2021 China Qingdao Overseas Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will be held in Qingdao West Coast New Area on August 5, when the talent projects that have advanced through the preliminary evaluation will compete on the same stage, and finally 6 key projects and 10 excellent projects will be selected.
In addition, the competition is supported by financial institutions such as Qingdao Branch of Industrial Bank, China CITIC Bank, Bank of Qingdao and Hua Xia Bank, which provide customized credit product services for overseas high-level talents who come to Qingdao for innovation and entrepreneurship.
