Qingdao Polar Ocean World was designed as a traveling program for the 2008 Olympic Games. The ocean theater can accommodate 2,800 people and hosts performances by animals such as dolphins.
The park has 36 exhibition halls, among which the polar marine animals hall is the essence of the park. Visitors can look at the beluga whales, walruses, sea lions, seals, Arctic sea otters, polar bears, penguins, arctic wolves and other rare polar animals in a simulated polar environment.
